The Red Tent

Barbara Harriott
Co-ordinating the Red Tent

So this is the true meaning of Radical Participation!

We had no official Red Tent, so along comes Barbara to bring one for us!  ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

My name is Barbara Harriott and I was born and grew up in Sheffield where I still live with my family, I have two children, I have been a foster Carer for 10 years. I am a Priestess of Rhiannon, and feel deeply honoured to walk her path of love, how that path is defined by the rich tapestry of life, being open and creative to what is love, how love is shaped by others in reaction to oneself. I love being in service to others and myself through the Goddess temple and Red Tent in Sheffield. I am a deep women my memory goes so far back… Look carefully and you will hear my silent presence gliding and soaring high seeing what I have yet to know, singing the sweetest tunes as I go. I am she who is becoming known, revealing myself slowly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'We will create, a safe space as women use to, where we can talk about the things we didn't know we could talk about. We will play laugh sing and support each other as we hear the stories that we have held inside of us for generations. There is a space in the red tent to talk when we feel ready, If you want to understand any woman you must first ask about her mother and then listen carefully . Stories about food show a strong connection. Wistful silence demonstrate unfinished business. The more the daughter knows the details of her mothers life - without flinching or whining- the stronger the daughter."
