Offering: Drumming for the Earth - Rhythm Circle
Essence of Rhythm – Drumming Ceremony for Earth Healing
Using rhythm to facilitate healing is an ancient practice. This ceremony aims to harness the power of rhythm and prayer for the earth’s healing. Whilst co-creating a rhythm using drums and percussion, participants will be guided and supported to hold a focused intention for the earth’s recovery and wellbeing.
The ceremony involves the beginning stages of creating a vibrational essence that holds the energy of the ceremony’s rhythm and prayers. Participants can take away a small bottle of the water to use in their own earth healing practices.
Drumming for the Earth - Rhythm Circle
An opportunity to enjoy the uplifting and health-giving qualities of collaborative rhythm-making. Sam will support participants to co-create a rhythm journey using drums and percussion. Participants will be invited to playfully explore their relationship with rhythm and sound-making, and to tune into the dynamic interplay between attunement to each other to sustain the rhythm and facilitating individual creativity.
Sam has become increasingly aware that the earth ‘likes’ being bathed in rhythm, so the drumming is a gift to the land, although all participants will benefit.
About Sam:
Sam's journey with the drum began in 1998 with shamanic work, progressing in 2003 to learning, then teaching and performing traditional West African rhythms. Sam is an experienced ceremonial drummer and twice has had the honour of drumming at the Lakota Sioux Women's Sundance ceremony held in Vermont, US.
