Maya Love

Offering: Songs and Chants from around the World to free the natural voice, Performance

This workshop is brought to you by Maya Love, leader of the folk fusion band Dragonsfly. Singing in different languages and harmony styles from Georgian to Zulu, including her own chants of empowerment and Earth spirituality, this is an opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of your voice with a full body approach, opening up previously unexpressed parts of yourself. Conveying her enjoyment of song in a way that is contagious, Maya brings a magical quality to the workshop, giving the experienced singer or novice the confidence to realise themselves as naturally musical beings.

Offering: Menstruality: Uncovering the Hidden Power of the Menstrual Cycle

This workshop shares the mapping systems that enable you to navigate the world and your life through your cycle and in the process reclaim your innate wisdom. For centuries the menstrual cycle as been demonized and rejected and treated as a limitation to be overcome. This workshop shares tools for tracking our cycles, bringing awareness to them, thereby unleashing a consciousness which dignifies women and holds all life as sacred.
When we learn to read the language of this inner wisdom, she becomes our greatest ally, leading us to ever greater evolution, fulfillment and empowerment.
About Maya:

Maya Love is a musician, songwriter and lead singer with the Celtic/Eastern folk fusion band, Dragonsfly. She has been leading voice workshops and choirs for over 20 years, enjoying transcending boundaries of expression through exploring languages other than our mother tongue, as well as her own chants of empowerment and Earth spirituality.

Maya Love is a mother, wife, musician, singer and graduate and practitioner of the Red School (Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer.)  She feels passionate about this work and the profound changes it has brought in her own life and  is excited to be sharing these empowering gifts with others.

"After attending the 1st Woman Fest last year I am thrilled to again be a part of this life changing, dynamic, loving, radical event!! This is a cutting edge place for connecting and being who you truly are amongst some absolutely wonderful women. I am honoured to contribute my part."
