Accessibility
We strive to make Woman Fest as accessible as possible, however here is a list of areas that would be a struggle should you have accessibility needs:
2 Tipis that require stooping to enter and not wheelchair accessible The Hot tubs We also do not have ramps in case the weather changes on us and the field becomes muddy
There is a designated Accessibility camping area with it's own toilet and the ability to camp with your vehicle.
We want to be as aware of our participants needs as possible and therefore this year we've hired our Access Angel: Becks! Should you be coming to WomanFest and have access needs, please email her at becks@womanfest.co.uk
What to Bring/not to bring
We are camping! Please bring everything you need to make you comfy, warm, dry, cool, rested, for the time you are with us. Bring your tent and sleeping gear, flip flops and wellies, blankets and cushions that can be used in workshop spaces, sheepskins, anything that you know you will need, please bring it with you. If that doesn’t appeal to you or its not possible, then we have our amazing Bell Tent Hostel that will be happy to arrange a shared or single bell tent, furnished or unfurnished and are looked after by the lovely Rachel and her team, to book by going to the page: Bell Tent Hostel
We feed everyone all together at WomanFest and have a strong commitment to no single use Plastic (even Paper if we can help it!) Please bring your own plate and cutlery for reuse - a washing up stand will be located by the kitchen. Also - no bottled water will be sold onsite, but taps are scattered around, so please bring a reusable water bottle.
What not to Bring - We are a drug free festival and reserve the right to remove anyone onsite that is found openly intoxicated or carrying illegal substances. No Fireworks or personal open fires. We don’t allow any pets onsite at the festival, this is a stipulation of us booking the land, so we apologise that you will have to make arrangements for your 4 leggeds.
Stalls and Healing Field
Everywhere in the festival is free access and the food is provided with the ticket - We do have a few stalls onsite as well as a small healing field for one-on-one sessions so bring some cash for some personal healing sessions or a bit of shopping - every woman selling something at our festival is an independent business owner/craftswoman/healer/woman-nature focussed charity or organisation so it's always lovely to support them
Child Policy For a Myriad of different reasons, we are a child-free festival. We do recognise that this can be a struggle for some single mothers and apologise for that. Young women who have started bleeding are welcome as long as they have a guardian or parent over 18 accompanying them.
Inclusivity
We are a festival for all women and no matter your age, size, sexuality, physical ability, ethnicity or religious beliefs - you are welcome. If any participant is found using inappropriate or demeaning language at our event - we reserve the right to remove you from the site - every woman has the right to enjoy Woman Fest freely and safely
We are inclusive of trans women and non-binary folk who grew up socialised as women, although we do ask that any trans woman gets in touch before purchasing a ticket with tiana@womanfest.co.uk
