And GODDESS, how we've missed you all, missed meeting new sisters, and old.
Woman Fest is an all-woman Radical Participation Festival run by a not-for-profit Co-operative. We build this festival together
and together, we make MAGIC
How do we work?
Well! WE ALL MAKE THIS GATHERING
Everyone pays at least £125 into the pot (this is the ABSOLUTE minimum - please donate more if you can)- Everyone brings SOMETHING - their time, their teachings, their art, their activism, their gift!
With that money, we can create the spaces, set up the kitchen (everyone gets fed!), pay for the land.
We are not here to make money, we are here to give every Woman an opportunity to feel a part of something and to give them the platform for whatever they wish to bring, together we make a spontaneous, magical soup that we have NO idea what will happen.
We make WomanFest anew each year - with whatever shows up in every woman that comes - If you don't see something you want happening? Make it happen! If you see a job that needs doing - it's yours. DOWN with this insular, capitalist nonsense. DOWN with this Culture of Transaction
UP with Gifting! UP with Community! UP with feeling a part of things again!
The festival is literally what YOU make it. We ask you to come to WomanFest, not with the mindset of what you can take from it, but what you can GIVE to it.
So we divided up what makes a gathering, from the wise women who have knowledge to share, to the artists who want to create, to the conversations that need to happen, to the loos that need tending! If everyone does a little, we become part of something bigger, we re-weave ourselves into community, we remember we rely on and need each other.
See you in the field xxxxx The WomanFest Co-operative
